hey i am looking to get a new acoustic set for live and studio work. i've got a nice lump of change to drop on a set so i am looking for high end. i have narrowed down to three
1 mapex pro m maple
2 pearl custom master maple
3 pearl reference

i was wondering what some other drummers would get and why?
thanks for the advice

If you can afford a Reference, I would recommend looking into the Mapex Saturn, as well.

Hey I'm a Tama kinda guy so............
Starclassic Maple or Bubinga Cool
Never owned a Tama kit I didn't like from 1979 Imperialstars and 1979 Superstars to my present Starclassics. Always been durable as well and I beat the s#!^ out of stuff in my younger days.
Wish I could afford the Maple or Bubinga.
