Do you read the forums b4 you post? Product brand names are not going to be the deciding factor on any piece of equipment. you may like dw and spend $1000 and joe blow loves his pulse pedal he got for free from some dude down the street. It all boils down to skill and execution. If you don't have the skill you should be executed!! Just kidding. Do some more research and read thru the forums and you'll see what fits you or get an idea of what to look for.

I hate to tell ya blackpanther, but how long people have been playing does not give you an accurate level of how "good" people are.

In most cases:

2 years with good instruction and practice> 10 years of self taught jamming

and wat r u talking about when u say this= 2 years with good instruction and practice> 10 years of self taught jamming[/quote] this is just stupid and u know it a self taught person in tens would be amazing infact Jose pasillas was self taught and hes only been playing 9 years and i bet he *Poop* on ur playing

Regarding the question originally posed, I disagree that DW is the best. The best really is what fits and feels the best. For example most of the features in a DW 9000 are in a Pearl Eliminator, yet the pearl is almost half as much. Pretty much once you get to a certain price you can't really even argue on quality anymore, and I personally find DWs overpriced.

Regarding the snarks, autodidactics learn with less efficiency that being taught at the beginning. But that isn't even the point; effecacy of equipment is dependent on the what the player feels, not their skill as a player.

PS: Typographic and grammatic abominations make my head hurt; please be kind to take the milliseconds to hit the few extra keys.

You are, of course, at liberty to ignore this post.

Sorry dude, you're new here, we're not. The people who have posted before you have earned reputations for being reliable and for having a solid base of knowledge in whatever areas they may choose to offer their comments on. If you want people to respect your views, you have to respect others first and prove that you can back up what you say. We're here to learn from each other and teach when we can. If you're not open to the opinions of other people, opinions which you solicited, then you're not welcome here.

Suffice to say that if you ignore this, we really will ignore your posts.

N00B... It's what's for dinner.

On a serious note, I disagree that DW makes the best pedals, on the grounds of opinion, just as David pointed out. They're over-priced and something about them just doesn't feel right to me. Most will know that I support my Iron Cobras over anything, simply because that's the choice I made, and it works for me. It's impossible to justify such a blanket statement as "dw pedals r the best pedals by far"
