hey i am looking for a new kit and me and my parents went to Billy hyde in surry hills and got the catalouge. just wondering.. are any of there drumsany good. like the billy hyde brand? or what brand should i go with i have been playin for almost 2 years and want aq good kit looking to pay $1000 -$1500

If you can afford up to $1500, have a look into brand name kits, not the Billy Hyde stuff.
Id personally be going for either a Tama Swingstar, Mapex VX lacquer or Yamaha Stage Custom Nouveau for around $1200
You could go down the road of the Mapex M, which is arguably the best value for money kit around today, but dont expect much change from $1500. _________________ - Sabian endorsee since 1997 -

The yamaha stage custom are killer kits. They have top notch hardware, and they have a warm sound that belies thier price.
I have heard a couple folks gig out professionally with the SC kits, and they sound great. |
