I have a pair and they feel very durable, but I can't really make a fair comparison having never broken a wood stick or my pair of carbosticks. They do feel heavier than comparable wood sticks, but the weighting is good to where it doesn't effect my playing dramatically. As for tactile feel, my pair has a small rough coating to it that I actually rather like; it's not a wooden feel, but it does provide extra grip without effecting balance (cf Zildjian dipped sticks). _________________ So with that title, do I Godwin every thread now?

i own a 5b pair of them since august 2005.. they are very durable, light and nice to play, they don't vibe, and also they have a nice feeling when playing drums and riding/playing on hihat. The only down i have on them it's the crash sound, i don't like it very much.. But they are totally worth the money you spend of them.

I have some carbosticks as well and agree with everything said above. The medium weights are slightly heavier than a wood stick of equal size but not much. The light weights are probably the same weight. They are rediculously durable and will save you tons of money because you won't be replacing your woodsticks every couple of weeks. _________________ The Silvertones |

just decided to pick up a set of the 7actr's since I cant seem to keep my pro mark 7a's together for more than a couple of weeks of casual drumming....Those and the 727's are my favs so far, but durability has been a problem.. Hope the carbo stick can help out in this respect...

I use to have a pair of corbon sticks. I never broke them but i always had a hard time keeping a hold of them once my hands started to sweat. They would slip out of my hands constantly and after the first time it happened in a show that was it for them. only wood sticks for me from now on. _________________ The Lord delights in the ways of man who's steps he has made firm.

so far they are awesome.. the feel of my pro mark millenium 2 7a's but much louder... more forceful impact.. balance is great... I havent had enough time on them to test durability too much, but they are showing no signs of stress so far.. I think im sold on this idea..

Yea i think their made out of graphite. I tried some out and they just feel pretty heavy, even the thin ones are heavy.
