in need of advice

i am a guitarist that has always admired the drums and now that christmas is here i am ready to dive in i like all forms of rock and want to start on a set that is durable and sounds good i need advice on evrything i should get without going over 850 dollars cymbals, heads, and shell set

i am considering the yamaha rydeen with wuhan s cymbals would this give me the sound i am looking for to play smashing pumpkins, white stripes, metallica, etc?

I think I have my mind set on the rydeen unless anyone knows something about them that I dont. Im also thinking about remo ebony ambassadors now i just need cymbals
