Yo. I've been a drummer for the last year and love every minute of it, only problem is i injured my wrist about 5 months ago and its been giving me agro ever since.
well i went to my doctor, and he said i may have damaged on of the five little bones in the wrist joint (the one that takes the pressure when you bend your wrist up or down) and I think i've slipped or injured one of my tendons in my wrist.. lemme explain
take a look at your left wrist, hold your arm out straight with your fingers spread. well, you see the bone that you can obviously feel on the left side of your wrist (just where your wrist ends) - feel just in front of that. There is a tendon that runs from your hand down your forearm - well its clearly there in my right wrist but i cant see any traces of it in my left. This leaves me unable to hold my sticks in traditional grip as i get a pain there (thats fine with my i dont use traditional) but aches a bit when i'm playing, also my left wrist seems a lot thinner and weaker than my right...
Do you any of you have any ideas what i may have done or what has happened? any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys and gals
