| Listen to Lamb of God. Chris Adler uses a Pro-M on their latest album and the one befor that, I think. It gives you a good idea what they would sound like in the studio with EQ and stuff like that. |

On the Mapex website and on the Lamb of God website, they only say "Mapex drums" and not what model he plays. It would be cool to find out if it is a Pro-M. The drummer from OTEP plays Saturns though, I know that.
@Bytor: I actually haven't experimented with the two snares yet to see the difference, have only been playing on the Black Panther snare so far. It seems to be a solid snare though and boy is it loud. The sound of the snare cuts above all of the other drums and the cymbals.
@Vanebony: I don't have any microphones to record with Unless I use my wife's video camera and I don't think that'd be very hi-fi. I don't think my beginner playing, stock heads, and first attempt ever at tuning would complement the drums anyways, lol. Whenever I do get some good mic's, I probably will post some sound clips _________________ AeonScape MySpace Music

| Adler was recently interviewed in Modern Drummer, and it listed his drums as Saturns. |

"NASHVILLE, TN — June 15, 2004 — Mapex USA announced today the signing of drummer Chris Adler to an exclusive endorsement contract. Adler, a founding member of the band Lamb of God, will perform on the Ozzfest Tour this summer using a custom-configured Mapex Orion Series drumset."
I guess he uses the Orion series. I could have swore I read he played a Pro-M, up until recently. I'm wrong, you're right. You win. |

It's kinda difficult that a pro drummer like Adler played mid-level drums.. I wouldn't do that if i would be he, without a doubt.

I found his wikipedia entry and it says the same thing, about him playing Saturns
@VanEbony: Actually, looking around, I thought it was kind of surprising seeing how alot of pretty big drummers don't necessarily use the highest end kits. There's alot of metal drummers playing Tama Superstars and it probably has to do with the fact of not wanting to take a few grand drumset to 200 gigs or whatever on a big tour. I'd imagine it wouldn't be in the best shape at the end... _________________ AeonScape MySpace Music

Sorry for the late reply...I've been using the Black Panther up until now and finally got around the actually tuning and trying out the regular snare and have to say I like the sound of the regular snare more. I could've just done a better job tuning this one though. I think it has to do with me wanting a sharp sound out of the snare and with the Black Panther being a deep snare, it didn't give me that sound. It should be a helluva good aux snare though. _________________ AeonScape MySpace Music
