i know this sounds so girly, but I am not playing my own set at church right now and I use a different stick size than the other drummers so I am looking for my own stick bag. Of curse I don't want your normal run of the mill bag... I will have at least 3 sets of sticks, brushes, and not mcuh else that I can think of. Does anyone know where I can get kind of a customized stick bag?? Thanks a lot for the help!!

What's the necessity for a customised bag? Basically, no matter how different the outside stick bags look (signature BAGS? C'mon guys... Surely there's something better for players to flog)- the inside is generally the same. Maybe there might be an extra for pocket for make-up, or whatever floats your boat.

Basically, if you're using a wide range of tools, just purchase a large stick bag; it should solve all your problems.

Make a stick bag! Then you could paint it pretty colors and whatnot.

I think it does depend on the bag itself - I see little purpose for the sig stick bags that have the same pockets, but there are some I'd consider getting - the Cindy Blackman, for example (I should point out that over here I have trouble getting my hands on Kaces bags as well as a number of other brands, or the Cindy Blackman bag would probably drop a little lower on my list).

That's not a lot of stuff to put in the stick bag. Like Lewis says, a large stick bag should do for most of your drumming life. If you're looking for something cheap and simple, have a look at Ritter bags (http://www.ritter-bags.com/), the Ritter Junior is a decent but cheap stick bag that should hold three pairs of sticks and a pair of brushes and a fair bit else. Otherwise, most of the drumstick and bag companies make simple stick bags that should last you quite a while.

There's not much that's special about Blackman's. Other than WOW ZOMG A FREAKIN SMALLER POCKET TO USE SMALLER THINGS/ACCESSORIES.

No, it simply comes down to the fact that there are only two pseudo-leather stick bags that I can find here, and the Blackman is half the price of the Vic Firth deluxe, which is about as heavy as a guitar gig bag. That's why I said that if I could get hold of Kaces bags here, I'd probably go for those instead.

a customized stick bag is pointless and would be a waste of good money. my friend is a percussionist and has an extra-large stick bag that holds sticks plus his mallets and other goodies, so there's definitely large bags you can find without paying up the butt for a customized bag (if anyone actually does that).

Do you think if I got a stick endorsement deal that someone would send me a free stickbag? That'd be worth it, I'm thinking.

I can't comment on custom bags, but if you want a bag that's a bit different than the normal black or leather a couple companies make some. Dickies makes one that I've seen that comes in Black & White Checker, Black & White Stars, Black with white stripes, Camouflage, Pink Camouflage, and Red. Pork Pie makes one that seems to have a plastic outside in gold and silver sparkle (might have more but I haven't seen any other colors), which might be good for stickers or gluing extra stuff on there to customize it yourself.

um, it aint your purse kid. a stick bag is a stick bag. If you are worried about it being mixed up with someone else's, don't leave it there, or else put your name in it. Mine is just a simple one, with 2 pockets, carries all my stuff and cost me all of 10 dollars.

Haha nice... Just buy one that will fit your all of your sticks and your many other drum toys Smile If your just using it for church, then you really don't need an expensive one. like TRIB said you could make your own. Don't waste your money on a really expensive one unless you absolutely need it. I've never heard of a customized stick bag. You could always get a zildjian checkered one or something like that, but if you want it original and different, then just make your own.

Seriously though, life is all about accessorizing. I'm a man but I'm still the shopper in the family, my wife makes fun of me all the time for it. If what's gonna tickle your fancy is some sort of stick bag that makes you smile, I say go for it, and don't quit until you find it. Get something basic for now if you want, simple ones are cheap, then keep looking for the perfect one. The Travis barker ones have plaid felt inside, is that unique enough for you? If all else fails, get some cool stickers to put on yours. Or bedazzle it if you must. Have fun.
