| Hey I was planing on getting one of these so I could accurately tune my drums to the sound I want. Does anyone have personal experience with these? I know how to tune, but I'm sure this is a bit more accurate than going by ear. Also how do you use these? Thanks if you can help me. |

I think $50 is a very small price to have a nice drum set in perfect tune. I'm probably going to get it and hope it works good. I've read good reviews on musiciansfriend about them and I was just wondering if anyone here has any personal experience with them. Maybe you should try it out too. Anybody else own it? |

I've got one. I don't use it much anymore, only when I'm having an issue identifying something I don't like in the tuning. It's a great tool to help you consistantly get the same tuning, which will in turn help you have a better ear for your drums.
I'd say it's worth the 50 bucks. _________________ --------------

I've got one.
I would recommend them, however you don't always get equal tension. |

| I have one, I got it for $20 at guitar center. That's all I use now. But just as a quick suggestion you may also think about a one touch tuning system, they can be very expensive but it tunes everything at once. |

It has a little block that attatches on the drum and you use this big yellow key that goes into the block and it tunes the entire thing. I know it isn't the best description, but you can find it somewhere on the internet I'm sure. |

I`ve got one, cost about 250$ cnd. measures in neuton/meter(spelling?), it`s fine for getting even tention all around, but I find that doesn`t always mean that it is in tune, it won`t allow for descrepencies in the skin/rim or the shell and bearing edges, I mostly tune by ear, anyway you look at it, tuning is time consuming, but is something that needs to be done from time to time. |

I have one, but I rarely use it. If anyone wants it, it's up for grabs, I guess. _________________

| I wouldn't get it. It's just as easy and usually as acurate to do it by ear. It really only works well on new heads, so if you plan on making heads last, I wouldn't get. Anyways, most people that have don't use them. |
