ever considered using coated heads?

i had tried several different clear heads, including the pinstripe which i think sounded the worst, until i tried out some evans coated g2s. they sound *Holy Censor, Batman* near perfect considering the quality of the kit i'm using right now.

what resonant heads do you use? I have 10,12,16 inch toms and went out yesterday and picked up some evans coated g2s and they sounds a ton better so thanks for the suggestion. I currently have the original resonant heads however and was wondering what you would suggest? Also would i notice a big difference in sound or is it not worth it?

hey man, i'm glad i was of some use.

i've never really experimented with the resonant heads, but usually they're just as important as the batters. i'm using clear evans g1s right now, but i'm not incredibly fond of the sound. i'm about to upgrade my kit to a pro m, so i'm not going to waste the money on new ones...
