I'm a middle-aged casual musician from Alabama. I've kicked around in bands since I was a kid - mostly on guitar and bass - but I've always had a passion for drums. I've had a cheap Pulse kit for a couple of years and I came to this place to start to learn more than just to beat on them! I've had very little formal musical training in my life, but I'm a decent ear player.

Anyway, I've found that fora like these are much better for gathering knowledge than most other sources, so I've come to ask and learn. I'm looking forward to exchanging ideas with you all.
