I could use some inspiration on my practice routine, so I´m wondering if there´s anywhere I could see some examples of other peoples practice routines?
For ex, how does your routine look like?
How many exercises, how long on each exercise etc etc.
Detailed info if you will .
Perhaps this has been posted before but I didn´t really know what to look for.
Basically I´m trying to put together a new routine for practicing my hands that takes about an hour so as I said earlier I´m looking for some inspiration.
And again I´m sorry if this has been posted before, but if it has a link would be greatly appreciated.
Have a good one |

I played for years BEFORE I started taking lessons... so I typically start by playing to a small CD my band has put together. It lets me work on the songs a bit and warm up with something I'm very familiar/comfortable with.
after that I attack rudiments/paradiddles, etc. for both accuracy and speed. I also try doing all the same things with my feet (bass drum) if time allows. Practice for me can run from 30 minutes (at minimum, hard to really even get started in half hour) to 2 hours+. I just love to sit and jam to whatever cd is laying around after a while.
as a cool down I'll pop in country music. |

| I got this cool CD called band in the pocket for drummers - it's awesome and it's offcourse a CD minus the drum parts. There's a couple of great tunes to warm up to and it's suprising how different I play to it each time. There's a lot of inspiration out there should you seek it. |
