Does anyone here know of any new rudiments, either that you've made up, or have heard from others? (AKA Hybrids)

Like the term paper, book report, chut-cheeses, chut-a-chits, and so on?

I've actually got a few... So take a swiss army triplet and add an extra beat on the hand playing the double, so now its a triple. So it sounds like, chut a da uh , chut a da uh.

Also... Try taking a cheese invert and adding an extra diddle on the tap of it. So it's like playing a roll with a flam every eighth note. Fun stuff.

This is cool too.. so play a double stroke roll, but flam every note. So it's all flams. I call it a flam roll.

If you guys know of any others, please post them.

I like doing rhythms where you are doing triplets in one hand, then 16th or 8th notes in the other, than alternate, even apply this when you are playing on a kit. if you do, start playing 16th notes on the snare, triplets on the ride, keep switching, then whenever you hit the cymbal hit the kick drum as well, and every other snare hit try to close the hi hat, it makes a really interesting groove and will really help you get tight with polyrhythms. Im assuming practicing with just your hands on a snare drum would have the same effect
