| I'm getting a Yamaha Stage custom nouveau but I'm not sure wear to buy it. I can get it from my local drum store for $840 U.S. with Yamaha hardware or from guitar center for $730 with pacific hardware. I know Yamaha hardware is sturdier but is the Pacific just as good since DW is a great company. And are Sabian B8's with a 13'' hi-hat, 18'' ride and a 16'' crash worth $100?? |

| I'd definitely go with the local store and the Yamaha hardware. As for cymbals, I would spend a little more and get either Sabian XS20s or Wuhan S-series cymbals. |

I agree. I have a Pacific stand I got from guitar center and it is without a doubt the flimsiest stand I have. Go with the Yamaha hardware. _________________ "It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear a fool than instead to open it and remove all doubt"

I got a Pacific stand, and its sturdy enough, just too bulky for only having one cymbal on it. _________________

I would go with the pacific hardware if your on a budget, but if your not, then definatley go with the yamaha hardware. As for the cymbals i would go with mix of some zildjian z customs, a customs, and k customs. It just depends on your preferance of cymbals. _________________ "You can be smart and happy or you can be stupid and miserable."

The Pacific hardware is good for its price point. Not 9000 quality, but that's to be expected. You get what you pay for.
Same with cymbals. Take that B8 and play it next to an AAX, or any top line. If you can't hear the difference then you should check into getting a job as a sound guy here in Orlando.
The B8's are good for practice, I'll give em that. |

Meinl's are selling a lot faster than Sabians currently in Britain. That's no surprise to me at all. The soundcaster range is fantastic.
The majority of Sabian players are metal, and Meinl have developed some superb rivals, that's why we're seeing a lot of people switching to Meinl.
I'm a Zildjian man myself, i prefer the history, but i'd have a Meinl over a Sabian anyday. |

| Actually, the vast majority are pop rock players. There's more jazz endorsers than there are metal. |
