Hi,

I was just wondering (in regards to toms) is there any significance of which side of the drum you drum on?

Simply because they seem to sound the sam no matter which skin side i drum on, and when I constantly moving around, and wearing one side of the skin, I was just going to flip the drum. Yes I know i should get new skins, but was wondering what difference (if any) this may have...

Thanks!

Usually the bottom head is thinner. I wouldn't recommend this. Your tom mounts might make this difficult, as well. Just get some Remo Ambassadors and replace your heads. They aren't that expensive.

I experimented with putting my Remo double plys on the bottom of my floor tom when I put new heads on. Sounded like crap Wink IMO.
