i play alot of instraments and have had some good song ideas id like to record.

could someone please help me out by telling me if this for one has good playback sound and two can be converted onto the computer for mixing and what not.

plus id love to know if since you can record 2 tracks at a time could you possibly get 16 different tracks on one song?

id just really love to know if i can record on this machine and take the song to my computer to mix it then put it to cd with out a lack of quality

I'd recommend buying an interface and recording directly to your computer... can't help you with that machine though.

I agree with getting a multiple input soundcard/interface and recording directly onto your computer, if that is at all an option. Stand-alone recorders are nice because they're portable, but the menus are often difficult to navigate and they tend to have limited functions. That particular one will only record 8 tracks, not 16, and only 2 simultaneously. If you're recording drums (and I would guess you are, since this is a drum forum), you might want more than 2-simultaneous tracks for recording, as it can be tough to get a good drum sound with only 2 mics (it can be done, but it takes some practice).
