Is there any way to adjust the footboard height on the DW 9000 hihat stand? I looked it over for a good 20 minutes yesterday at Guitar Center and couldn't for the life of me figure it out. Maybe I'm stupid? Maybe it can't be done? Either way, let me know. I like the action of the stand, and the rediculously sturdy tubing, but would be completely turned-off to it if the pedal permanently sits so freaking high.

There's probably a mistake with the inside connections if it sits high. If not, you'll have to tighten the top cymbal higher than normal, so when it is touching the bottom cymbal, the pedal will be at normal level.

Is this the one you are talking about?

It doesn't say anything in the manual about being able to adjust the footboard. You can buy seperate heel plates for it to customize the feel.

I looked at one of these in my local shop. #Shocked It's liquid driven and smooth as butter! I would recommend this one unless you are set on DW. I want one now that I felt it.
