|
|
Hi all,
I just started noticing recently that the tension rods on my snare are starting to come loose after about 10 minutes of playing. So I tighten them up again (I use one of the Evans drum torque keys, nice n quick) but then again after playing for a bit most of them are loose again.
They were coming loose with my old head, and this week I bought a new one and put it on - same thing.
At this point I'm not sure what I can do so that those puppies will stay in place. Any suggestions? |

Either you're not tightening them up enough, or some of the screws are cross-threaded maybe.. _________________

How long have you owned it? Maybe someone replaced them with the wrond diameter or thead count? Do you grease your lugs? Maybe they are stripped? _________________

Are you playing mostly/all rimshots? Are your hoops in good shape?
There is a product called the Lug Lock that may help you, although I've never tried them: http://www.luglock.com/luglock.htm |

your lugs could just be retarded, but take it to your local music store and see what they make of it. _________________ "You can be smart and happy or you can be stupid and miserable."
