Welcome to the forum, Yamaha Maniac! It's always nice to add new Drum Dogs to the fold. You're right, this site is very cool, and lots of guys and gals on here know what they're talking about. It's a great source of info, and a great place to share new ideas. The biggest plus about this place is that everyone is POLITE, which is rare on forums, to say the least.

I have a pair of Firth nylon brushes, but honestly, I haven't used them all that much. I don't feel I'm the best qualified to address your question, so I'll leave it for someone more knowledgeable in the area and simply say, welcome aboard! Smile
