who here plays timbales and is willing to give some advice, i just bout some to add on to my set but i also want to learn to play them by themselves,
any thoughts |

| My first thought is to take some of those things called "sticks" in hand and smite the timbales as if they were drums (but I could be wrong). |

I would advise not using sarcasm unless you know what you are talking about.
Actually it is very common to play the drums with hands, not sticks, believe it or not.
Check out www.congaplace.com and look for their 'timbale book' Its not actually a book but has a lot of different grooves and techniques and stuff. I love it. It also has a bunch of conga rhythms and cowbell patterns and stuff. _________________ The Silvertones |
