Hi all! I'm 42, been a drummer since I could tap my spoon on my high-chair, and love playing whenever I can.

I frittered my youth away dreaming of playing a mega double-bass kit in an arena rock band, but now I'm very content with my part in a 7 member combo, where I use my Pearl Rhythm Traveler and play big band and standards for our graying seniors. They're a very receptive audience and they dance like crazy!! (There's nothing like seeing an old gentleman out on the dance floor with his lady....AND his portable oxygen machine around his shoulder with the little clear hose in his nose....You GO man!!)

I'm not much of a blogger, so it didn't even dawn on me for the longest time to look for a drummer's blog. Glad I finally came to my senses.

I'm looking forward to getting some ideas and tips from others and, if I can, lending my own experience to anyone who finds it helpful.
