Funny, most of the times i've seen anything he's in, he's not been using it.

Similar with Chad Smith who never ever uses his sig snare, he uses Brady drums (Although in music videos displays Pearl)

Most drummers of the BIG name drummers don't use the kit they endorse for recording, for instance I know that the drummer from Kasabian just finished in the studio with a Used Yamaha birch kit supplied by Only1Music - simply because I was interested in it and he snatched it under my nose!!!

Lars might not always use it, but he does routinely use it. The same for Vinnie Paul, using his signature snare. Even Joey Jordison, who doesn't exactly use the POS signature exports, often uses his signature snare while touring. I do know that often times musicians don't always use the equipment that they "endorse", but Lars Ulrich and some others actually do routinely use them.

While the topic of signature gear is up, has anyone tried out John Blackwell's new snare yet? Looks great, and i hope they have one at drummerlive next week.
