I was hitting my head against the wall with the studying for a new kit I was doing. First I played the PDP 805 series. I really liked the sound for the price, but I didn't like the set up (Im into prog. porcupine tree rules.) Then I went to my local (Bakersfield, CA) Guitar Center. It was then that I saw that PDP made an 8 piece 805 set. It was an Avenged Sevenfold tribute set, but thats ok. The all birch kit sounded pretty good with stock heads, but Im gonna get some evans heads soon. All I need to do is change the bass reso heads, which have skulls on them.
The kit looks like a plain white from ten feet away, but a closer look would reveal a pleasant surprise. The laqcuer finish sparkles brilliantly in the light and contrasts the black hardware perfectly. Overall, I love my new set and just needed to recomend it to everyone. By the way, the set was 950$ U.S. after tax. _________________ PDP 805 "Rev" kit

Its not the skulls I don't like, but the quality. One of the heads got small tears in it when I was tuning it. I also didn't mention that I haven't mentioned that I never bothered tuning the snare. I have a Black Panther that fits my needs perfectly. _________________ PDP 805 "Rev" kit
