| ok so i got a question for yall Professional tuners! hehe anyways i have still my stock 10" bottom tom head , i changed the top (Evans EC2 which i love) but still the vibration (ressonance) is too loud so which kind of bottom head do yall recommend? a thicker one? a thiner one? u know vibration wise |

i would definitely try just messing with tuning before you change heads... regular ol' one-ply clear heads usually give the a great overall performance that suits almost any application. thicker or muffled heads tend to choke the drum. some people like it, but i think it sounds a bit dead and almost boxy. thinner heads tend to be brighter and more cutting, which seems to be the opposite of what you want.
try tuning your resonant head a little bit lower. this will deaden the drum a touch and the overtones won't be quite as noticeable. _________________

| agreed. each kit is different. kits that are the same model with the same finish are different. spend time with your kit. knowing what works and what won't will just take time. |

| ya i did tuned the bottom head now and it sounds alright...not the best...c what i like is low on top and high in bottom but since is a SUCKY head is like it gives me too much overtones |
