hi folks. I just bought a used Yamaha dtxpress III set and I noticed that on the normal trigger setting, I'll lightly bounce my stick on the snare and often it won't register. I have to set the trigger setting to dynamic to get a response. Is that normal or are my pads a bit worn. I checked some Yamaha sets at GC and it was very responsive, but I didn't check the trigger setting on those sets.

thanks for the help.

The previous owner could've changed the settings. If it's set too light and you're a heavy hitter, other pads will get triggered from the vibrations.
