...ok
understand though, i like John's drumming alot too, but you still got to get over the fact he died, timing and stuff like that he has been dead for quite some time so a little joke shouldnt kill anyone.
and i understand what booze can do to you, personal experience but that stuff may happen one day but deep down he knew he was messed up and shouldve stopped, at least give it a shot
when i die i dont want everything said about me to be gloomy, i want some jokes and laughter, hell on my funeral im playing children of bodom and having my guests dress in white |

John Bonham died before I was even conceived. I'm 19
The point that you aren't getting is what you said isn't funny, it isn't clever and is darnright disrespectful.
Regardless of whether someone is dead, or if anyone is over there death, it doesn't mean that they want it brought up as a joke.
It would be like one of your family members dying, then me sending out a message saying "don't post on this forum or it'll kill your family".
It's unrelated and seriously out of line.
Oh...
And John Bonham didn't die directly of alcoholism. He died from being sick in his sleep and choking on his sick. |

I can't believe it but I'm actually siding with tylerdrummer. It's just a joke... lighten up. It isn't like he's desecrating John Bonham's grave or anything, which would be disrespectful. I dunno, maybe it's a difference in American versus British humor, or something? Or maybe it just a matter of whether you do or not have a stick stuck up your *Horse's Patoot*? _________________ AeonScape MySpace Music

Comedy is about timing and being appropriate.
John Bonham was, and always will be a drumming idol for myself.
He was also a dedicated family man who raised a fine family, and brought another great musician into the word.
Alcoholism is common in people that need to escape reality. I imagine that Bonzo just wanted to be a normal guy when he could, not a world famous Rock star.
Joking about one of the most dearly missed human beings in the Rock music industry has not and never will be funny.
Nobody has anything stuck up their backsides. And nobody has anything against you personally.
You're an enthusiastic young man, you just need to learn that what you and your friends find funny in class, generally isn't funny in society. |

Anyways my setup...
Gretsch catalina birch fusion sizes.
5 piece
Actually I'm probably going to post updated pics soon, right after I put new heads on. I'm switching from 2ply to 1ply cause my drums sound dead and both the reso/batter are 2ply, so I'm thinking coated ambassador on batter and clear ambassador on reso. _________________ "You can be smart and happy or you can be stupid and miserable."

Tyler... You need to learn when it's a good time to talk (or post something) and when to just keep your mouth shut (or your fingers from typing) Talking like that about one of the greatest rock drummers ever isn't cool. Joking about dead people isn't sociably acceptable. So either shutup or make a stupid comment and take the flak. This isn't the first time you've made a dumb comment on the thread. _________________ "You can be smart and happy or you can be stupid and miserable."

My nationality has nothing to do with it. I think perhaps its a difference in maturity.
Why would you make a joke about a dead person? Where's the humour in that? Joking about Heath Ledger wouldn't be acceptable - perhaps it wouldn't bother me, because I don't particularly care about film, but I imagine there's plenty of his fans that wouldn't find it funny.
You need to learn that offending people isn't cool.
You can sit around with your mates joking about death, rape, aids - or perhaps about people trafficking? But don't bring them into society.
It was a stupid comment. One of many I read from the same poster every single day I log on and frankly you've struck a nerve when talking about a well loved man. |

Does b/b stand for birch or bubinga. I know that Abe Cunningham uses a Star Classic Bubinga. Which is awesome. _________________ A groove is a terrible thing to waste! |
