I have an original George Way kit.
I've been thinking about buying a NEW George Way kit, but the gentleman who owns it never emailed me back on whether he was going to reproduce the Aristocrat (which is what I'm hoping). _________________ "One day I feel I'm on top of the world

I am the "gentleman" who owns the George Way Drum company. For whatever reason I didn't get your email, but I'll answer you here.
I am not at liberty to use the turret lugs. That is the exclusive domain of DW drums - they have a trademark on that lug (as they should!).
So, I will be re-issuing the Aristocrat late in 2009, it just depends on DW's willingness to go along. If that doesn't happen then I will use George Way's original turret lug design which is substantially different from DW's but has the same feel.
I have plans to initially offer small Way kits using the Tuxedo lugs. These will look much like the Catalina kits.
if you have other questions, feel free to email me here :

Thanks!
