Whats the difference between a Yamaha Birch Custom Absolute, and a Yamaha Birch Custom?

I'm not sure, but I think it has to do with the lug and rim design.

Perhaps someone can correct me?

THe Absolutes have the noveau lugs instead of regular lugs, but thats all I know of for sure. I think the absolute series might have a thinner shell too.
