OK now Im lookin at gettin a cymbal set with my rebate check from the gov. now I only have a certain amount (all my extra cash is goin toward paying fines but I need cymbals) so my choices are limited to
Sabian B8 rock pack $229.99
14" hhats
16" crash
20" ride
free 15" AAXplosion
Ziljian zxt pro pack $329.95
14" hhats
16" crash
20" ride
free 18" medium thin crash
Ziljian zht pro or rock pack $369.95
14" hhats
16" crash
20" ride
free 18" fast crash (rock crash on rock pack)
Ziljian zbt pro pack $249.95
14" hhats
16" crash
20" ride
free 18" crash
Paistie PST 5 $285.75
14" hhats
16" crash
20" ride
I will add if I get this kit paistie pst 5 18" crash $82
total 367.75
So my question is, which would be best OUT OF THESE LISTED for death metal style playing and will last 2-3 years?
I just need some cymbals to play on for now till I get my fines payed off then Ill be gettin high end cymbals. |

I agree with the latter, used, or if you really have to spend on lesser quality, than I would choose the zht`s, a friend has some and they`re not too bad, they actually sound like cymbals, not not trash can lids. _________________ out in the loft |

I've heard that the sabian b8's are pretty good for metal, and I liked the crash I had for a while, and the zht's are pretty nice. But I would go for good used ones. _________________ "You can be smart and happy or you can be stupid and miserable."

| Don't laugh But you should also check out Meinls sarted series they look and sound pretty good. Stagg makes started packs which a freind swears buy and last but not least Wuhan The new S series from them are made from B20 bronze ( proffesional grade material) hand lathed and hand hammered. I got the 10" and 12" splash from them and I'll tell you what there the nicest best sounding splashes I own. I also have Zildjian, sabian and paiste splashes. They just don't compare. Wuhan has 2 S series packs one is $179.00 I think the bigger one is $229. If nothing else do yourself a favor and at least look at what the 3 companies I mentioned have to offer. You can find there stuff on Musicians freind and interstate for sure. Those wuhans I got are so well made I'm seriously considering getting the 18" crash from them. The chinese aren't just making *Poop* low end stamped cymbals anymore. P.S. Staggs are also made from B20 bronze good luck |

| B8's are pretty good for blasting and hard metal, cause they dont break and have a good sound |
