Hi,

My DW drums have an unusual hardware finish. Its kinda dark gun metal grey (not black) and polished with a hint of nickle.

I just wondered whether any other dw players had or have seen this finish.

Its not an option on the DW web site.

Ta

Dave

my DWs have a brushed chrome or satin like finished hardware. but its the same hardware that is used on timeless timber series. The dealer i bought them from said the guys at dw would only allow 2 sets of collectors series to be made with timeless timber hardware. i have one, and the drummer for puddle of mudd has the other(i dont know his name)

Nope, but I have seen Neil Peart's gold hardware. Everything on his kit that is normally chrome is gold, instead. He's been doing that since his Ludwig endorsment in the early '80s, and he maintains the look with his DWs. It looks nice!

The timeless-timbre satin-hardware is now available on any dw-kit.

I have never heard of that kind of hardware finish, but it sounds like it would be perfect for me. Is it like the new Tama Exotix kits? That's what I'm thinking of. I love that shell hardware.
