I've been looking at a few different kits now:
Tama superstar custom
Mapex Pro M and Saturn
Sonor 3007
Yamaha Tour Custom
Premier Projector

But I can't decide which to go for.
Just wondering if you guys could tell me how any of these kits sound and play from your experiences.
If theres one you think i should take in to consideration aswell let me know Smile

cheers

For value, probably the Mapex. You're from the UK right? I found a nice little site that seems MEGA-CHEAP! Some really nice deals especially if you order without hardware.

From what you've mentioned, the Mapex Pro M would probably end up being your best dollar per drum of all that you've listed.

I might even say look at the Mapex MBirch kits. They are birch obviously, as opposed to Mapex Pro M which is Maple.

I've had both Maple and Birch and either one will knock your sox off.

If you purchase either series with hardware you won't be disappointed. Their hardware is excellent.

I just got a SONOR 3007 Stage 3 with maple shells and the 22" bassdrum.

Agreed, SONOR's sound great!
