anyone seen the new Batman movie yet? after seeing it, all I can say is that it really was fantastic and definitely lived up to almost all of the hype surrounding it. i plan on seeing it again soon, it was so entertaining.

I think it surpassed my expectations. With Heath Ledger's death I assumed it had been hyped up more than warranted, but over the course of the nearly three hours I saw a dense epic.

Tragedy aside, the Joker was absolutely amazingly done, and if the rumor that part of Ledger's psychological problems before the accident were related to his role is true I can easily see how that part would screw him up.

I though Harvey Dent and subsequently Two-Face was perfecly played and cast, and the effects needed to create his lesser half were jarringly effective.

Highlight the text in the quote box for things that my spoil parts of the movie.

Quote:
My favorite two lines from the whole movie are both ones that really set the tone for the movie.

"Watch me make this pencil disappear" showed that this is not the comical, circus joker we've seen before.

"You complete me" made me think that the Joker really sort of is the opposite of the pure, clean Batman. The Joker needed order to disrupt.

Another thing I liked is that the theme for Batman is that he's not supernaturally gifted like Superman, but Bruce Wayne is wicked smart and dedicated. Here Batman was always at least two or three steps behind the Joker. Not just that but he got played by the joker notably too. When Harvey and Rachel were both captive, Batman said he's going for Rachel only to find Dent there. The Joker played it so Batman would have messed up.

I also liked that Alfred showed his more mentoring role. "We caught the jewel theif." "How?" "We burned the forrest down." Batman then later revealed that he was burning down Gotham with his sonar project. To catch his theif he had to destroy what he was there to protect. In that sense the Joker won by turning Batman on his own people.

I really need to see it again so I can collect my thoughts better; I was just too enthralled the first time.

pretty good, he was like pretty crazy, and i loved how he changed his story of his scars each time, and its kind of weird though that(spoiler below)

Quote:
it was weird how two face died soo soon, since he was pretty popular in the tv show and comics. And also if they decide to make another one(hope they really dont it would be good to leave it like this) how they would do the joker cause heath kinda made that one of a kind, and you cant pull a final destination two and just kill him off in a newspaper

possible spoilers below:

i dont know if two face is actually dead... it definitely made it look like he was done for, but we can only assume that he died and won't be back. also, they never really say what happens to the joker... could be dead, could be on the loose. i think the whole thing with him saying that he's merely the catalyst for mayhem in gotham, then passing the torch to twoface, makes me think they would just not include him in further movies.

i'm interested to see who the next villain will be. maybe a new villain not from the comics? maybe there would even be a robin-esque character?

I don't know who could or would fill the shoes left by Heath as far as a joker in the next movie goes.

they would really have to pull a crow out of their asses Smile but he was like the main villan behind everything in the comics so it would be really pissy to everyone who ever watched or read it, maybe like a good impersonator or something. they should have showed two face dissapear after he fell or something, cause its gotta be a hard story to say, hey he fell of a building, wasnt moving clearly wasnt unconcions cause his eyes were wide open, and lived, but its kind of gay to kill him off since it took 2 hours to make him then take him out Robin should be in the next movie they should probably throw in robin, and maybe a utility belt:) and robin should be gordon, causee he was pretty popular in the movie.
anywho kind of rambling and sounding really nerdy, but i just watched the cartoon alot when i was little.
hopefully i did the white thing righ

YESSS!!!!! its only taken me a ltitle over a year to learn that
