I'm sorry I haven't been active lately. I've been having a lot of computer issues lately and have resorted to using my friends whenever I need to do anything. Anyways, I'm rambling....

Has anyone ever booked a gig at a casino? I'd like to book something more profitable and a friend suggested casinos. It seems like a good idea but I'm not sure how to go about doing it. I don't want to just send a press kit and hope for the best. Anyone know the proper steps to take?

Thanks errbody!

It helps to have a reputation, a following and songs that have crowd appeal and an entertaining stage show. Without some of that you will have a difficult time booking in them. Think of it as a mini-Las Vegas. Country songs will go over well and classics.

You will be playing to an older and richer class of people but I've found mostly it's people taking a break from the gambling action.

They can be very good paying gigs and in half of them I've been able to use the house kit. Not to mention the great hours. They are worth it if you have the right show.

Yo Solo! Good to see you around man! I don't really have any insight or advise I can offer on your post here. My band played at the event center of a casino in Vegas....but it was a festival with about 30 bands, so that doesn't really help you at all. ahah. Good luck either way though man, keep us posted.

Bish.......I think you may have just mapped out my new goal in life!

yeah the casino gigs are good to get in to about the only tip i can give you is get used to using small sticks and playing at low volumes or invest in a good sound shield as most gigs in those venues have volume regulations Cool
