Hey!
I'm a drummer! Go figure eh?
I was on my way to rehearsal one night, years ago, and my daughter told her friend over the phone that her dad was on the way out to go jam with his band... The kid on the other end said, "He's in a band? Isn't he like almost dead?" meaning I was so *Holy Censor, Batman* old that I had no right to be "jammin"! Punk! 
Must admit I like new music - The Bravery / Believe is the latest groove I dig.
Just "auditioned" for a new 3 piece with some other older boys that never grew up. They said I had some "serious chops"! I laughed. Guess the new TD20S I finally got are helping.
Gadd's my man although today scanning Wiki there was a discussion over who was the most recorded drummer. Hal Blaine or Dr. Gadd.
Blanes website was like a trip through my childhood! What a studio drummer. True, Gadd has been everwhere, but I think Hal's "Top ten" list is insane!
I got some questions about solid shell drums. Not the Craviotto wraps but hollowed out logs...I know they're out there and would love to know more.
