i think the only way it would be cool is if it was on the computer and you had your own virtual pad for it, other wise it would be just like some dancing game and make drumming look stupid, but on the computer i think with some thought into it, it could work, i wouldnt garentee that all drummers would like it tho.

they have this thing called drumscape, its in a lot of arcades, you play on an electronic kit to songs. i like it because it deals with drums, but it has MANY faults.

I played that in Vegas, I wasn't all that impressed. It's set up just like that dance move game.

i think you're thinking of a different game.

did you have to follow like arrows or something as went by?

cos drumscape is just an electronic kit that you play along to a song, no screen to follow. it's pretty sweet to impress the ladies at the arcade.

only kidding.

Drumscape is cool because they have mostly pop songs that you can play to that are easy...and yes, as somebody said it really catches the ladies eyes and ears...and hormones. lol

The downside of it is that its a cheap all rubber set with horrible fake sounds. And it has like 12 pads all crunched up together...you dont know what are cymbals what are toms...some are bells and crap. It's expensive to get on also, and they only give you like a minute and a half unless you keep feeding it money.

hey, if they make games for living a normal life (sims) and boring chess, i think they should at least make one for drums!

here's how it would work (for PS2):

x - play a beat or groove (you'd have to earn new beats and stuff)
o - toms/play fills
square - cymbals
triangle - bass drum
R1 - spin sticks
R2 - perform signature move (one handed 64th notes or somethin, play behind the back, stand up and play, etc.)
L1 - special
L2 - perfom tricks

kinda complicated though

you could start a band or be independent, earn money, have drum-offs against other drummers, go on tour, buy new gear (sets, clothes, moves, tricks, etc.), and even earn the ability to play with drummers like buddy rich and billy cobham. i would love that!

what do u guys think? (yeah yeah, i know....i'm a game fanatic!) Rolling Eyes
