|
|
| I know this might seem like a stupid question but I've been going back and forth with a co-worker of mine about how Tama is pronounced. I've always heard it pronounced as Tah-Ma or Ta-Ma (with the first part of the word sounding like tom as in tom-tom or someone's name with an "A" on the end of the word) but my co-worker insists that it is pronounced Tam-ah (with the first part sounding like the first part of the name Tammy). I personally don't play Tama drums but I've never heard it pronounced that way. He owns a Tama set and is a big fan of Rush and I know Neil uses them, so he could be right. But then again...he's been wrong before. Let me know. |

Tah-mah. Just like "tom tom" but with "a" instead. I think Your co-worker may have confused Tama with Yamaha. _________________ My Premier Artist Maple set! |

I agree with the pronunciations above. I've always said it as "Tah-mah" (rhymes with "mama"), but I've heard people say it as "Ta-ma" (rhymes with "Ala-BAMA"). I say it the first way. The second way just sounds... well, dumber to me.
BTW, Neil Peart used to play Tama drums. He then switched to Ludwig in the '80s but has since switched again to DW, which he presently endorses. |

| Tahmah. That's how I see it. it's two conjoined syllables. It's not seperated, but just Tama. Like Tahmah (silent "h"'s btw). |

| She's YOUR sister. I think if Drumdogs had some company support it would go somewhere. That's always an idea. You should talk to her. |
