I have been offered a set of zildjian cymbals ZBT's which include of a 14" Crash. 18" Ride, 10" Crash and 10" Hi Hat top and bottom.

They have been owned for about a year and a half by the previous owner and are in reasonable condition.

The guy wants £180.

Is that a reasonable price ?

Thanks

Joe

i believe thats like $250 right? so at that price, just go to a local store and get some new, it should be around your 180 price,
usually when you buy something and use it, the price decreases indefinatley, didnt seem like this guy wanted to

I'd actually stay clear of the ZBT's if I were you, but if you want them, then what Tyler said.

The person is trying to rip you off as that price is about what they go for brand new ($250 US which equates to about 180 pounds like tyler said). You shouldn't be paying brand new prices for used equipment.

I've heard basically nothing but good things about the Wuhan S series, but personally I'd go with some sabian aa's, aax's, zildjian a's and a customs or basically anything of the higher end stuff from zildjian or sabian USED. Make sure the cymbals are in good condition though.

Check e-bay and read the descriptions/ask questions of the sellers. You can get all of the high-end cymbals that edgewood listed for the price of student cymbals (zbts/zxts/b8s/etc) or just a little bit more if you go used.

you could go 2 ways

buy a packed set of Sabian B8's(i really liked them, and think they sound very good for the price, more metal music tho) or the X20's arent too much higher, and are good for about everything, but metal, but they are good intermediate cymbals,
or
you could wait till you find good cymbals used, which i have done, After i had my begging set of cymbals

Forget entry level cymbals. The Wuhan S series ( which is being discontinued) are absolutely professional level cymbals in every way. I use them and I love them for 180 US you can get a ride or HH a crash and a splash. These things are made from B20 bronze hand cast, hand hammered and hand lathed. With quality cymbals like this entry level cymbals are a waste. check it out here www.cymbalsandsnares.com

Why is the S-series being discontinued? Are they not selling? They are very good cymbals, especially for heavier music.
