Hey,
New drummer here! I always wanted to play the drums but never had the opportunity to get a kit. I bought a cheap electronic kit and after playing for a year am in a fairly average band! Here's hoping I can invest in an acoustic kit when I move house to the edge of town next year

Welcome, and here's to really hoping for an accoustic as well! It's like driving a real car versus a video game. Doesn't mean your car will be faster (ie sound better) in real life, but a lot more fun, and necessary at some stage in your progression as a drummer. _________________ free and easy |

I'm 35 years old, so fairly old in the grand scheme of things
As for the acoustic, I use an acoustic to practice with the band and to gig (well for my only gig anyway), but at home to practice it's the crappy old electronic kit. I already know the pleasure of playing a proper kit and always have a big grin when playing the real thing instead of whacking some black rubber pads |
