| never tried any of those, but I do have an 8" Toca Mini Timbale that rules. It is easy to mount anywhere and sounds great for off-beat fills and stuff. And it was much cheaper than buying a tom, I think I paid $60 for it. Was something like this what you were looking at? |

I have heard them used, and frankly I'm not sure if I'd spend the money on something that I wouldn't use too often. I think I'd rather buy some other percussion item to add some extra color. But if you have the money, and like the sound of 'em, I'm sure they'd make a colorful add-on. _________________ Yamaha Drums

I've seen the advertisement and think that it's definitely a good add on to a drum set.
But those anybody know what they sound like? Do they sound like those hand percussion that have a much higher pitch?
