I want to find out what Snare Drum Dave used on the 'Life is Peachy' album. Does anyone know or have a recommendation as to where I can find what setup was used for a particular song/album??
I ask because of the unique sound of the snare, especially on the song 'Good God' (I think thats the name of it, the syncopated bass/drum feature). Even if you don't like the genre, you should check out that song, sounds like he wrote the book on ghost notes just before playing that.
I guess that this is a common question. So where do you guys go when you need to find out what drum/cymbal was used?? Can I mail him somehow? I assume that all the fan mail would make it impossible to get directly to the guy to ask him. |

| I'm not sure what he was using, but I know a lot of mail with similar questions goes to Modern Drummer magazine. You might try emailing them. They would, in turn, contact Dave and print his response. |

I do have a Modern Drummer issue that came out in 99 with Silveria on the cover and it was issued right after Follow The Leader came out. There might be a possibility that he was still using the same snare back then.
I can check it out when i get home for ya and post his specs, if you're interested. That might give you some direction.
Just let me know.

Oh yeah, if you could do that, that would be great. I don't think I have that issue.
Thanks! |

Dave likes to use triggers, so remember that it's a possiblity that what you're hearing might be synthetic sound. I noticed this with their latest albums.
However I was never a Korn fan from the start. Only until Untouchables came out was when I started to dig thier sound. Just my input, it might or might not help. _________________ ALOHA! |
