Vic Firth American Custom SD2 Bolero
man, i LOVE these things... there so light and nimble...
for the last 5 years all i have used is Vic Firth American Classic Rock
i picked a set up and they just felt bulky and over bearing on the drums... I couldnt get dynamics right with them....
the only downside is that they only come in wooden tips... there ment more for jazz, but man, ive been hammering the heck outa these things and their pretty stable, esp for me...
maybe I can email vic and see if they ahve a similar stick in nylon.. of all the sticks Ipicked up at guitar center these felt the most natural...
my only problem with wooden tips is the fact that they tips soften after a while of playing, which sucks for rides... _________________ Mapex Mars 6 piece - Pert Paragon Cymbals |

Yep, those sticks are made from softer wood. They are snare drum sticks (SnareDrum2). I tried them once for the hell of it because they felt nice. After about an hour of playing there was a pile of saw dust under my hi hats! I wouldn't reccomend them for kit playing, but if they work for you, go for it. _________________ "If I didn't make a living beating things with a stick, I'd probably be in a lot of trouble!" - Alex Van Halen |

I still reccomend everyone to try out the Vater Stewart Copeland Standards. Incredible sticks. _________________ Yamaha SCA

I guess my monthly trip to Guitar Center to blow alot of money is on lol...
Might as well get my heads and a new bass pedal while im there... yay. Save me on shipping AS LONG as they have my heads I want in stock...
guess ill try out a ton of sticks while im there... i picked thru alot of Vics, but I cant find one with a good nylon head...
I think i was playing on a set of vaders over a friends.... I like them, but yet agian, wooden heads, after like a week of solid 15 min playing the heads die... if I was alot softer at playing or still in HS I would use them for jazz band. _________________ Mapex Mars 6 piece - Pert Paragon Cymbals |
