| I can no longer find the FinishPly Sea Foam color on the DW site. Does anyone know if they have discontinued it? |

I'd call up a local dealer and get them to call up corporate and ask the question. Seems DW really only likes to service customers through dealers for the most part. I hear mixed things about DW's customer service. Some say it's horrid and other people claim to have always gotten very courteous and quick service from them. All I know is that I've been waiting over a month now for my finish ply kit to be made. Maybe I'm expecting too much out of them since I've put down alot of money on a finish that is supposed to be the easiest and quickest to produce. I just don't know how long it usually takes to make the kit since I've never dealt with this company before or had anyone tell me who also has ordered a finish ply. I hope I won't have to rely on DW fixing anything if something goes wrong with the kit a few years down the road. _________________ CHECK OUT MY BAND IN THE WEBSITE OPTION BELOW-IF YOU LIKE HARDCORE/PUNK/DEATH METAL/GRIND/NOISE..

DW customer service is fantastic. Last year I stripped out my brass tension receiver on one of the lugs on my Craviato Maple DW snare drum, so I went to guitar center to get a new one. Guitar center ordered the wrong piece, so i had to REorder. When THAT one came it, IT TOO was the wrong piece. (The 18 year olds working at Guitar Center are morons)... so finally I emailed into DW and told them about my experience trying to get a tiny simple part with a retail cost of about 5 bucks. Two days later, I had 5 of them in my mailbox from DW.
1 month waiting for a whole kit is nothing. You will likely be waiting 2-3 more.
I have had my DW collectors series kit since 1997, and the ONLY thing to break, was that stripped receiver. As long as you take care of them, and ALWAYS keep them in thier cases when not playing them, they will last a LONG time. |
