I currently am savin up for a drum set, but am stuck on what to buy... I currently have a Sunlite set with Zildjian ZBT cymbals, which is okay, but fairly entry-level, and more rock-inspired. I am currently studying jazz and some other stuff, but I need a new setup... Cymbals included...

Any advice would be great.

Hmm depending on your budget theres alot of options. If you want to go Jazz but have the ability to change back to Rock try Gretsch or even TAMA. Maybe even go with a pearl. For the jazz though smaller toms and bass drums will work well. Im probaly telling you things you already know but i hope i helped.

I have had someone say that the hardware on the Catalina Club is crappy... Is that true?

The issue I had asked earlier was about the length of the tensioning rods. Because they both meet at one lug in the center of the drum, there is a potential for them to get bent or broken.

That's what I worry about. Even if it turns out that they are unbreakable, I don't want to find out the hard way.

That Premier Artist looks like a very nice little kit. That's a beautiful walnut lacquer. Premier is making some very impressive drums these days.
