I own one and I'm not too agog. I mean, the hardware's not that great, and even if you go for an export select with their ISS mounts, it's still hard to position the toms correctly. With just a plain vanilla export it's even harder to position the toms (that's why I got RIMS mounts for them and such). Now, as an intermediate kit, it's good enough. Get some nice heads on there, tune them properly, and the drums will sound rather good.

Don't waste your time. I have had one for a while now and cannot wait to get rid of it. The only reason I haven't given it the Keith Moon treatment is because I need to get the cash from selling it. Better off with the Cabria, Rockstar, or other series than the Export.

I actually enjoy mine. 7 piece Export with some Remo Ebonies on there. I learned how to tune correctly, as 007 said, and they sound rather nice. If you see yourself being real serious about drumming in a year or two, I would pass on them. They are definetly not high quality. But for low quality, they are real nice.

I will concede that it is a set that can sound alright if tuned (Unlike one Pacific set I TRIED to tune. The kick simply refused to sound passable.) I currently have Jack DeJohnette heads on my toms and they actually sound alright.
