Yesterday my snare on my tama rockstar wood snare broke. It sounds really bad now so i need to pick up a replacement one but i have no idea what to get. I play punk/hard rock so i want my snare to have a nice crack. Any suggestions on what to get? Thanx

You're talking about the snare wires, right? I'm really impressed with a company called Puresound. They make excellent quality wires. Also, I've heard some really good things about Grover wires, although I've never tried them, myself. If money is tight, Gibraltar makes pretty decent wires for around $10 each.
