|
|
I just discover this excellent place couple days ago and this is my first post.
Are motorcycle style more comfortable than round?
What is the best drum throne when I'm on a budget (around US$50)?
I think I'm more lean to motorcycle style than round so I have the following as candidates: Tama HT-35, Gibraltar 6608, is there some better option out there from another company?
Thank you everyone _________________ Pacific CX Blue Onyx

| For which os more comfortable youll have to decide, sit on one and act as the drum is in front of you(even if you look like a fool) act like your playing one, if it feels comfortable go with it, as fro other companys, poeple will say roc and soc seats, i for one havent had the chance to try one out. |

I like the bicycle style more myself. It allows your legs to lock in position and be more comfortable. In that price range im not sure whats aviliable. I'd suggest the throne i use but it's 160$. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/hotpmetal |

I prefer the round ones. Seems to give me the feeling I've got more freedom, I can twist and turn on my stool.
I've got one from pearl, it starts from 50$, the roadster is 100$ |

| I used the inexpensive round thrones for many many years. I just recently switched to the Roc N Sock motorcycle style throne and it's great. I find it gives me more support under the top of my legs, less leg fatigue. It is expensive though. $115.00 without the backrest. |

| I use a Pork Pie Big Boy Bicycle Throne. I bought it on the reccomendation of a friend and it is one of the most comfortable seats (I say seats because it is more comfortable than most of the chairs in my house) that I have sat on. A little pricey at $130 from an online vendor, but to me it was well worth the extra money. The only restriction on the throne that I have noticed is that the part of the throne that extends between my legs prevents me from being able to sit as close as I would like because it hits the snare drum, but this is a trivial price to pay for comfort. I have not used that many other thrones, round or otherwise, so I don't have much of a range for comparison, but I hope this helps. |

| i really like my roc n soc, although it doesnt actually have gel in it... its just really cushy, and the hydraulic lift bounces a bit when you move around. very solid, very comfortable. a bit pricey, though. |
