| Nah, the guitarist in my band who I was gunna go with, lives up in Worcester and couldn't be bothered to go afterall. Also, it wa £16 to pay on the door! Bit excessive I thought.... |

Nope, never them. Don't know much about them. I think they're black metal aren't they? Not really my thing. I like most types of rock and metal, but black metal is the one genre I really cant get into. The drumming is pretty impressive though.
I think the production is a bit lame on most black/death metal records because it so fast, they have to trigger the kit and really over eq the hi-end to get that really tight, clicky sound for the kick drums. I guess it just wouldn't cut thru the noise if they were bit, fat "Bonham" style kicks... |

| I'm a str8 up metal head and I'm jelous! I want to see Anthrax too, but I don't know if they will ever in their lives come out here. I'll watch out for your post on the show. |

Bal Sagoth classifies themself as "orchestral barbarian death metal", but I prefer to just call them orchestral epic death metal. You might want to check out their drummer's style, actually. It's rather interesting because the parts aren't just blasting through, but actually are specific to certain phrases.
I might add that they are the only band out there sponsored by a weapons company. (Battle Orders, a UK based weapons store supplys them with swords, armor, and other things for use on stage.)
Might want to check them out, just because the most touring they seem to be doing right now is within England. |

every one just calm down.
drummers musent bicker in this way for we are what keeps the music alive and togheter and we all share one special brotherhood no matter what style. will some one please agree with me. |
