New set of ~pins~ bought today for my toms!
Had no coated heads left in stock for my snare , so i ended up
buying a >>>>
CS-Controlled Sound
Never played 'em before, so am askin'
Do they play well , long ,last a time ?
To me sounds fantastic..
>>> I do hit on the harder side , is the CS Durable ?
Am sure time will (as always) tell...

well knowing that they are Remo heads, I'll say they'll last anywhere from an hour to a month. _________________ Yamaha SCA

If the legandary Chad Smith uses a CS then there good...he hits very hard and his last...i also use them!!i think they have a more cracky tin sound to them bit of tape fixes it and you have a better sound than a evans G2 or normal batter head....
Mine is starting to get see through i saw a mark the other day...just a little one...tune it tight but dont choke it...great skin...anyone that sez they aint is a *One Who Doesn't Leave the House a Lot*..so there u go _________________ GlennO

I used to use Remo coated Ambassadors on my snare; the coating wore off very soon, and the skin looked really "thrashed". In contrast, I've been using an Evans G2 snare head for about 5 months, and while there is some wear on it, the coating appears to be intact. This is after me playing on it with sticks, steel brushes, and "rutes". The thing is dam n near bulletproof in my opinion! I'm otherwise an Aquarian fan, but I'll stick to Evans for my snare |
