Hey, i'm actually a bass player and really new to drums, however I just got the swingstar and I am very happy with it. I found that the hardware is much easier to work with on the tama then pearl. I would go with the Tama but thats just my thoughts on it.

out of those, the tama indeed is probably a good bet. if you can afford a little bit extra, you can probably step up to a Tama Rockstar or Sonor Force.

i still have my swingstar and ive never had a problem getting a good sound from it

i take a look for pacific CX and i really found a very good choise for its price but it has also the same price with tama rockstar and i just can't choose...

i would go with the CX. rockstar is good, but youll probably be happier with the sound from the maple Pacifics for a much longer time. i would only pick the Tama over Pacific for the mounting system.
