Someone help me please, since I know nothing about the Ludwig Accent CS (part number LC 2057 ), is this a good or a bad drumset ? Is a beginner set or what?
The price is good, but I still doubt about the quality of the shells.
If is there someone who have such a kit, any advice would be very appreciated.
Many thanks in advance !

They're okay, but IMO, there are better kits out there for similar money. I would look into Mapex and Tama, for example. That being said, the high-end Ludwigs are on a totally different level, however. They're as good as any professional level kit, as far as I'm concerned.

I have a Ludwig Accent CS Combo, which, as brand name kits go, is lowest of the low. The drums are decent but the first thing you have to do is a head change. I'm not sure about the CS line but I think CS Elites come with Evans heads, so you might be good to go. The hardware, though, is awful. The stands wobble and rattle, the hi-hat clutch slips like nothing on earth and the pedal is practically unusable. It might get better the further along the line you go but if you want a roadworthy kit out of the box, I'd go with Gretsch, Tama, Mapex or Yamaha for a little more money.

The Accents and Catalinas/Blackawks are made in the same factory in Taiwan ( by Taye Drums)

I just got the Accent CS Zep kit and sounds great! The fist thing you do is throw the stock heads in the trash and get some good ones, top and bottom. I use all Remo and they sound like thunder!

if you get one hold the hell onto it, the ludwig franchize is starting to fade away so the set could be worth alot soomeday. i have replaced everything cept for the shells and they work fine, granted ive spent $3,000 dollars over the last year but they are a fine set i dont know if i ever exactly wanna upgrade the shells are awsome sounding

Tylerdrummer, you said, "... the ludwig franchize is starting to fade away so the set could be worth alot someday." What makes you think Ludwig is fading away? They are one of the strongest drum companies in the world. The Accent CS line is one of the best selling and most profitable series Ludwig has on the worldwide market. I live in North Carolina and I can tell you that although Ludwig high-end Classic series kits are hard to find in music stores, they are made to order for the customer with a phone call and deliver in about 6 weeks. Compare that to Rickenbacker guitars in California that currently have a delivery time of 18 months. The Ludwig Accent CS series has made Ludwig drums affordable to young people and older people like me. I own a 1980 Maple Pro Beat 6-pc but I am considering buying an Accent CS Custom Elite Birch set because the quality is just as good or better than Maple drums of 25 years ago. I will say that I've been told by Ludwig Dealers that Ludwig Corporate in Monroe, NC is difficult to deal with as far as stocking high-end kits is concerned, but that doesn't mean they are fading away by any means.

Anyone reading this thread, DO NOT count Ludwig out of the picture. There is no basis for it.
